P, Valuation Officers Checking Up on Value of Railroad Rail-road Property Frank L, Mary, senior land appraiser, ap-praiser, divifeion of valuation, of (he Interstate commerce commission, with headquarters at San Francisco, accompanied accom-panied by Lawrence Hanson, valuation division of the Union Pacific railroad, with headquarters At Omaha, Neb., arrived ar-rived In Ogden yesterday to attend to the appraising of Union Pacific property prop-erty in this city. The men will bo hero for several days, according to Colonel C. A. Back, rlght-ofway agent for the Union Pacific system, with headquarters in this city. Mr. Mary said that the work of appraising ap-praising values Of railroads had been going on f6r six years and would continue con-tinue indefinitely. Over 250,000 miles of roads will bo apprrtlscd, he stated, find as the work is slow, it will take I considerable time. The men will bo located in Ogden for a month and will then continue to Evanston, Wyo., where they will continue con-tinue their work. |
