Show r- V' Recital Under W.C.T.U.. at Methodist Church ' : Perhaps one of the enjoyable treats jp which proved to be a source of much pleasure to many Ogden music lovers, I was the recital given by Miss Florence I Otis, Miss Florence Austin and Joseph I Martin under Lhe auspices of the Women's Wo-men's Christian Temperance Union. The recitals were given last Monday and Tuesday evening in the Methodist church. Each of the artists were well applauded for their numbers in the program. Joseph Martin and Miss Florence Austin have appeared in Ogden Og-den beforo and their second appearance appear-ance last Monday and Tuesday was well applauded. The first presentation of the first opera of the Weber Normal college, 'will be given on April 14, by tho Gleel club of the institution at Kaysville.' The opera will be given on April 26! at the Orpheum theatre. Rehearsals are being held continually throughout the days and it is in all probability,' that Weber will win the same success! , in this line as she has won in the dramatic dra-matic -line. SURPRISE PARTY. .Miss Agada WilBon was pleasantly surprised by a host of friends Monday: ovenlng at her home on Twenty-fifth street. The occasion for the event w.as the birthday of Miss Wilson. The' ovenlng" was onjoyably spent In games' and music, whilo later a luncheon wna served by the hostess, Mrs. P. S. Olson, Ol-son, who was assisted by Mrs. Thomas Shaughnessy and Mrs. E. A. Olsen. FAMILY REUNION. On Easter Sunday at tho homo of John E. Fowlor, 360 Thirty-third street, a family reunion was hold, which celebrated cele-brated the sevonty-sixth birthday anniversary an-niversary of John E. Fowler. Tiie afternoon af-ternoon was onjoyably spent in music and social chat and at 0 o'efbek a delicious de-licious dinner was served. In behalf of tho members of the family, Mr. Fow-I Fow-I ler was presented with a gofj-headed cane, appropriately engraved by the eldest son, John E. Fowler. Carnations Carna-tions and ferns were used in the decorations. dec-orations. Mr. Fowler's seven children child-ren and their respective fam'us were present at the affair, wmCTl marked a happy one for all of those present. ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT, i Mrs. Mae E.
