Surrounding Sherry are her four daughters, Mindi, Sherlyn, Cassie and Robin. The person I'm nominating is my Mom, Sherry '. Smith. The reason is because she works until 5 p.m. and ; still comes home and fixes her four kids and my Dad a ', full dinner. It's always very good and different." ; SHERRY SMITH is the mother of four daughters, ; ranging in age from 14 to 4. She works at the Ogden Defense Depot as a supply clerk. ; Mrs. Smith takes time to prepare meals, work and I1 play with her children, create latch-hook hangings, ' raise two cats and two dogs and keep a neat, well- ; organized home. THIRTEEN year old, Robin Smith says her mother is nice and fair. "She takes the family places and brings ; home things to use. I like her homemade bread, chicken pot pies, stuffed shells," says Robin. Pancakes and play are the things that Cassie, age 4, finds most appealing about her mother. SHERYLYN, Sherry's 7-year old daughter, says ; "Mom plays with us. She keeps the house clean. I like r the waffles she makes. I like to go shopping to buy food ; with my Mom. She lets me play with my friends. ; Organization is important when a mother of four f works full-time. Sherry Smith finds one way to save tine : and money is to buy a six-month supply of meat, staples . and canned goods. A local store offers this service. Sherry believes this is one good practice that is econo- ; -, mical and efficient-.-,-, i.:,-... r. ......... ' THE RECIPES Sherry Smith is sharing with the read ers, are the two her family likes the most. SHRIMP SALAD 1 can small deveined shrimp xh bag small shell or salad macaroni 4 salad onions, sliced thin Vi can black olives, sliced thin 1 jar pimento, chopped fine 4 small dill pickles, chopped fine 4 stalks celery, sliced thin SAUCE Vi c. Miracle Whip 'A cup milk Celery salt to taste Salt and pepper to taste !2 tsp. mustard 2 Tbsp. pickle juice COOK MACARONI till just tender. Drain and run under cold water, drain. Mix all salad ingredients together. Mix sauce ingredients together and blend with salad. Chill. STUFFED SHELLS Vi lb. hamburger, browned with 'A onion, chopped 1 box giant pasta shells 1 jar spaghetti sauce w-mushrooms 1 lb. Mozzerella cheese, shredded 1 egg, beaten Season to taste PREPARE shells according to package directions. Drain and hold in cold water. Mix hamburger-onion mixture with egg, Vi of the cheese, A jar spaghetti sauce and seasoning. Fill shells and lay in oblong baking pan. Top with any remaining filling, sauce, and cheese, Bake... .. according to package directions. |
