A RECENT innovation at the hospital is AmCare, ambulatory ambu-latory care service. Eight rooms have been set aside for patients who can come in for one day surgery. At Lakeview those patients will have the advantage of completing their admission procedures the day before their surgery, completing complet-ing their surgery and then returning re-turning home. Instead of cots or recliners offered at other outpatient care centers, Lakeview will provide pro-vide regular hospital beds in semi-private rooms complete with telephone, television and meal service. This streamed lined procedure has been in practice now for the past three months and the hospital has received re-ceived many favorable comments com-ments from patients and physicians. |
