Show Viking Views By MARSHA CHRISTENSEN and CLAYTON GILLETTE As the year winds down, we're really looking forward to Graduation 1983. The big event will be held Thursday, May 26 in the Regional Center. BEFORE anticipating the end, we need to look forward to Junior Week. The Junior Prom will be held Saturday night at Little America. The juniors are having different diffe-rent activities throughout the week, with the assembly on Friday. ALSO THIS week, will be the annua "Spring Spectacular" Spectacu-lar" Friday night. May 6 in the school gym from 6-9 p.m. This will be a great family activity for all ages. We hope you'll bring your families and support the program and the different club's booths. THE YIEWMONT Track Team continued their success with fine performances in the BYU Invitational with Scott Hubbard taking first place in the javelin throw; Mark Law finished third in the javelin: Dave Chowen finished third and fourth place in the hurdles; John Warner was fifth in the 100 meter dash and Kevin Smith took third in the long jump. The Viewmont baseball team continued its winning ways by defeating the Braves with a score of 3-2. The team will play off for state at the end of the. w eek. Good luck baseball base-ball plavers. THE CHORAL concert w as a great hit. The singers really put on a good show . Madrigals Concert will be held May IS at 7:30 in the auditorium. The junior and senior officers offic-ers will be chosen this week. We would like to wish all of the candidates the best of luck. Stay tuned for more info next week. |
