Show Mount Of Olives' On Friday, May 6 The South Davis Community Commun-ity Choir would like to welcome wel-come the month of May with a Spring Concert, Beethoven's Oratorio "Mount of Olives" Friday, May 6, 8 p.m. at the Bountiful Community Church, 100 N. 400 E. GUEST conductor of the choir will be Bonnie Winter-. ton, associate director of the Utah Chorale and one of the most exciting conductors to work with. Soloists will be Patricia O'Neill, soprano, a graduate of Louisiana State with a master degree in music. She sang and studied for six years in Germany Ger-many and was awarded the . "Martha Baird Rockerfellow Fund for Music Grant" while there. For nine years she was : associate professor of voice at ; North Western University. She has appeared throughout the U.S. in recitals and operas. Miss O'Neill has just recently moved to Salt Lake City where ; she will be an asset to the community. com-munity. ANOTHER fine lady to add to the excellence of the Oratorio Orator-io is Lovina T. Short, who is organist. She graduated with a masters degree in organ performance per-formance at the University of Utah. She studied under Alexander Alex-ander Shriner and coached opera workshop at the University. Uni-versity. She is a choir director at the "Salt Lake Junior Academy" and she sings with the Utah Chorale. Tenor soloist George Be-hunin Be-hunin has sung and soloed 17 years with the Tabernacle Choir. He is also a member and soloist for Pro Musica. He is a member of "Young Audiences Inc." a national foundation which sponsors professional singers to perform in schools to encourage music in education. educa-tion. Mr. Behunin local group of this organization is "Vocal Dimension." BASS soloist, David Evans was raised in Bountiful and graduated from the University of Utah with a masters degree. He studied 18 months in Munich, Germany, where he was in several operas. Mr. Evans was a former member of the Tabernacle Choir and has soloed with them and the Utah Symphony. He has also taught at BYU. Mr. Evans is currently current-ly music director of Utah Opera Society. The public is invited to attend this Friday night.
