New uses planned for industry zone The Park City Planning Commission met last week and explored other uses for the industrial zone in the town's Iron Horse area. The Sept. 14 meeting included a work session on the area, roughly east of the Holiday Village Mall and south of Kearns Boulevard. ! Said senior city planner John Eskelin, "I wouldn't say there was a consensus, but the commission did seem to think the city should consider other uses." One reason is that the city plans to upgrade Bonanza Drive, which will wind through the area. Eskelin said the panel discussed two options. One would be to rezone the area to General Commercial. The other would allow the Limited Lim-ited Industrial Zone to have some retail use.
