Show Trial date for bouncer Gale Lee Boon, arrested after the Cowboy Bar Labor Day telethon ended in a violent melee of fisticuffs, was bound over to Third District Court after a preliminary hearing Wednesday, Sept. 21 in Coalville. Boon is being held on charges of aggravated assault, a third degree felony, and giving false information to a police officer, a misdemeanor, after he allegedly .punched and . kicked an Orem man. who. was , dancing at the Cowboy en the night of Sept. 4. Boon, who had been hired as a bouncer by a Salt Lake City concert promoter, allegedly gave police a false name at the scene of the beating. That fight lead to numerous other scuffles at the bar. The victim was rushed from the Cowboy Bar to Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City where he was released the following afternoon with fractured facial bones. Charges were brought against Boon Sept.2. Boon's trial is scheduled for Oct. 3 in Coalville. |
