Show CEDAR CITY ORDINANCE NO. 50-15 (Revised) An Ordinance revising Section 50-15, Cedar City Revised Ordinances, Or-dinances, 1972, for the assessment of water application and tapping fees, and the rates to be charged therefor. HE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CEDAR CITY, UTAH: Whenever any person desires to obtain a supply of water from water mains already in front of his property, he shall make written application therefor on a application form as provided in separate Ordinance. Such applicant ap-plicant shall pay into the City Treasury such fee and-or charge as shall be fixed by resolution of the City Council and which fee and-or charge may be changed from time to time by resolution of the City Council, and shall be for the items scheduled hereinafter; provided, however, that said City Council shall retain the authorization to fix such additional charges as may be determined appropriate from time to time by resolution: A. application charge. B. a tapping fee (connection charge). C. road-breaking fees: (1) excavation into a gravel surfaced street. (2) excavation into a paved or oil surfaced street. D. inspection fee. The schedule of rates and method of payment fixed by resolution shall be at all times on file in the office of the City Recorder and subject to public inspection. When such application has been filed and the tapping (connection) fee paid as herein provided, the water superintendent superin-tendent is authorized to extend the service pipe to the curb line between the sidewalk and street at a point most convenient for the supply of the premises of the applicant. Each resident and each business building shall be connected by a separate and independent service pipe. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force on July 1, 1975, and upon the effective date of this Ordinance, Section 50-15 of the Cedar City Revised Or- dinances, 1972, passed February 3rd, 1972, effective March 1st, 1972, is repealed.
