Show ENOCH and MIDVALLEY Mr. and Mrs. Richard Grimshaw were here for the reception. They live in Washington, Utah and Lynn and Lona Mitchell who now live in Hurricane also attended. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Myers were in Salt Lake part of last week. Mrs. Zelma Alger received a weekend visit from her children Mr. and Mrs. Bill Staley and their family. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Bishop were here to spend the weekend with Marie's family, Mr. and Mrs. Gaylen Matheson. The Enoch Second Ward held a Spring Social on Thursday evening of this week with a program, dancing and refreshments. refresh-ments. It was enjoyed by a large crowd. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Heaton were here for the long weekend with the Glendon Heatons. The Heatons daughter Marilyn and her fiancee were here from Provo. By Veda Matheson Mr. and Mrs. Jim Baird were here last week to attend the funeral services held in Parowan on Tuesday for Mrs. Monta Warren, mother of Mrs. Louise Matheson and grandmother of Mrs. Baird. Elma and boys stayed until Friday when they went back to Salt Lake with Bishop and Mrs. Ivan Matheson who were there for the day on business. Also in this area last week were the brothers and sisters of Lehi Wood who's father Will Wood died last week and w as also buried on Tuesday. Keith and Cathy Maxwell and boys spent Friday night and Saturday in St. George and Bloomington with Gail and Judy Maxwell and family. Mrs. Virginia Speirs is visiting in San Diego, Calif, with Chris and Karen Olson. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Sherratt have a new baby girl born last week at the Valley View Medical Center. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Armbruster enjoyed a visit over the weekend with their daughter, Christine and Helen. An Open House was held at the Enoch Church honoring Mr. and Mrs. Doug Grimshaw. Among those who came from out of town were the parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Hafen and members of their family from Santa Clara; and all of Henry and Hilda Grimshaws family were together for the first time in many years. Gay was here from Idaho. Ann from Washington DC. Dorothy from St. George and the rest of the family who live in this area. |
