Golf League begins play named as following, according to Men's Association president, John Long: Brent Pro Shop; Mike Lee, Fred Wright, Joe Hiskey, Ferrell Erickson, Howard Nelson, Rich Wilson. Mullett Jewelry; E. J. Corry, Wes Mullett, Wally Osborne, Roger Chambers, Carl Hazel, LaVar Hadley. Stevens Co.; Lennie Olofson, Leo Cahoon, Ken Boren, Russell Heap, Allen Orchard, Brent Foy. Mountain Bell; Tom Higbee, Jay Commander, Art Pryor, Action in the Cedar City Golf League will get underway this evening, Thursday, in the first round of play for the season. Matches will be played each Thursday evening at 6 p.m. with a shotgun start. Eight teams have been organized with a list of alternates also named to fill in on a week to week basis as the need arises. Other action at the course this past week included a hole in one shot Sunday by Claud Slack. He used a five iron to card a hole in one on the 190 yard No. 4 hole. , Playing with him were Kent Carlson and Richard and Loraine Quincy.
