Show ! ,vi V : vim ! ENJOY OUTING. Members of the Cedar High School Hiking Club enjoy scenic trek along Black Ridge Historic trail. Cedar High hikers enjoy outing By Randy Miller Beautiful sunshine touched the faces of 2.'S Cedar High School students this past week while hiking on the 10 mile Black Ridge Historic trail. Interesting sights included seeing Peter's Leap Canyon, baby cottontails, rare birds, Indian petroglyphics, and small toads were observed along the way. Those participating were Edwin Leigh, advisor; Neil Adams, Jeanette Alger, Susie Blankenship, David Callison, Kim Chamberlain, Kim Christensen, Jeanette Church, Mike Dettamanti, Mitch Det-tamanti, Det-tamanti, Steven Gale, Brad Gordon, Kris Hair, Joe Holmes, Kary Laird, Elaine Matheson, Evan Matheson, Randy Miller, Alan Moss, Belinda Neilson, Donna Nojehl, Elwin Prince, Scott Slack and Blaine Tew. At the end of the trail, two girls who had their directions mixed up, wrote a sign that read, "we are lost," and tried to get cars to stop along the freeway. Passers by only smiled, waved, and honked as they drove past. A truck driver finally stopped and told the girls to look at the sign across the highway. They were at the right place all the time. Four of the participants, David Allison, Brad Gordon, Blaine Tew and Randy Miller have attended all four hikes this year. |
