Show N SENIOR CITIZENS GATHER. Silas Topham has a taste of the ice cream on the paddle as Mel Eyre mixes more homemade ice cream at Senior Citizen program and old fashioned dinner. Senior Citizen Day celebrated drickson did readings of pioneer humor. Following the enjoyable program, the SNAP volunteers, Mrs. Barbara Burt , and Mrs. Marie W. Orton, served a delicious dinner which they prepared. The menu consisted of chicken pie, three flavors of homemade ice cream and soda crackers. Some of the members enjoyed making the ice cream. To keep the tradition of the olden days, an old fashion crank-type freezer was used. Other activities occurring at the Parowan Center are weekly quilting sessions, art classes and making of handicrafts. PAROWAN - Since May was proclaimed Senior Citizens month by the Governor, the Parowan Valley Senior Citizens celebrated on May 21, 1975 by having a program and old fashioned dinner. The program was arranged by Mrs. Zona Topham. The program began with the group singing familiar old songs led by Mrs. Mary Topham, accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Mary Bryant. Mrs. Zona Topham read a poem. The Red Hill Square Dancers danced two numbers with Mr. Larry Hatch as their caller. Other performers on the program were Ms Shirley Neze who played a piano solo; Ms Ivy Ward read some of her own creative poems; second graders from Parowan Elementary School sang several songs and Mrs. Jean Hen- |
