Show Campground opening delayed on National Forest sites Mr. Ostergaard said that the following campgrounds are designated as U.S. recreation lee areas: Cedar Canyon, Te-ah, Spruces, Navajo Lake, Duck Creek, I'anguitch Lake, White Bridge and Vermillion Castle mew addition). The heavy spring snow fall this year lias delayed the opening of campground facilities in the Cedar City District of the Dixie National Forest, according to Recreation Stal'fman Richard Ostergaard. He reported that the Uui in ihree feet of snow in the Navajo Lake area will delay op'!iii:g for public use until late .Iliac Opening of the Duck Creek Campground will also be delayed until early June. Portions of this campground will also be closed lor construction throughout the summer. The construction at the I'aiiguitch Lake Campgrounds will hopefully be finished by late May to permit an early June opening The two campgrounds that will be open by May 31 will be White Bridge, near I'anguitch, and Vermillion Castle, in 1'arowan Canyon. |
