Mary E. Gurr succumbs in Salt Lake PARAGON AH - A former Paragonah resident, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Robb Gurr of Salt Lake City died in a nursing home on May 20 of ca jsos incident to age. Graveside services were held in the Salt Lake Cemetery Fri. noon. Mrs. Gurr was born April 7, 18HSS in Paragonah to Alexander and Ellen Benson Robb. She graduated from the Branch Normal in Cedar City and attended at-tended University of Utah. She taught school for two years at Junction. She married James Edwin Gurr June 7. 1911 in Parow an Mr. Gurr w as a Forest Ranger so they lived in various places. , Parowan, Austin. Nov., Richfield and Salt Lake City. He died in 1943. Mrs. Gurr was a member of the LDS Church At one time all three of her sons were in the service. Her two daughters proceeded her in death Survivors include sons. James Boyd. Salt Lake City. Gordon. Kaysville. Kenyon Robb. Bountiful: 10 grandchildren and lfi great grandchildren. Also one sister. Mrs. Alice Robinson who resides at the Rest Home in Parowan.
