Dale Jensen receives "IT scholarship $5,000 scholarship for freshmen fresh-men students at the University of Utah and has been designated a Presidential Scholar. Local scholar Dale Jensen, Jen-sen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland A. Jensen, 275 South 300 West, was one of only five recipients of a new Jensen, who was ranked number one academically at his graduation from Cedar High this spring, recently lunched with U of U President David P. Gardner in his office as he accepted the scholarship. The four-year scholarships scholar-ships were set up to attract outstanding students who also showed particularly strong leadership ability. They were selected on the basis of their ACT Composite Com-posite scores, high school grade point average and previous school and community com-munity activities. The presidential scholarships were established by the President's office, alumni association and Financial Aids and Scholarships committee. Jensen was also a National Merit Semifinalist, a member of the National Honor Society, is listed among Who's Who in American High School Students, took first place honors at the region science fair and participated in debate at Cedar High. |
