Show Lt. Braugh on Air Force I m Exercises ; First Lieutenant Rulon L. ' Brough, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Rulon Brough, Cedar City, recently participated . in "Midlink '77," an annual 5 Central Treaty Organization )cento) maritime exercise held this year in the Persian p Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. Lieutenant Brough is an F- 7 111 pilot and weapon system j operator at Lakenheath j RAF Station, England, with f, the 492nd Tactical Fighter V Sguadron. M The exercise involved f, military forces of the United J States, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey and the United Kingdom. U. S. Air Force F- 4 and F-lll aircraft from ti several United States Air j Forces in Europe bases flew fa their missions from Shiraz a AB, Iran, against "friendly" aggressor aircraft from the , Imperial Iranian Air Force 7, to test air combat tactics. The overall purpose of the exercise, hosted this year by f. the Imperial Iranian Navy, was to test the capabilities of p cento navy and air force units under simulated J? bombat conditions. d Lieutenant Brough, a 1968 graduate of Cedar City High f School, received his B.
