Winning their matches were Jon Garrett, Tim Brayton and David Coles. The Redmen golfers set idle for a week then came up against Dixie. Played at St. George the Redmen lost the match 10 to 51 ;.. Brad Larson was the only one to win his match in the competition. With a record of 4 wins and 3 losses the Redmen next will take on Provo High School in their quest for honors in Region Six action. At Tri-City Golf Course in American Fork, (rated the number one toughest course in Utah) Cedar High School golfers lost their first match of the current season with Jon Garrett being the only man to beat his opponent. After their first loss the CHS golfers were determined deter-mined to win in their next match slicing the Pleasant Grove team with a score of 14-2. Jody Parcell, the first and only girl to play competitive com-petitive for Cedar High School, gave a good accounting ac-counting of herself and bested everyone in her foursome. In action against Payson the Redmen kept their winning ways posting an 11 to 5 Victory. Tim Brayton received low medalist honors with a round of 37. Springville, one of the top ranked teams in the Region handed a setback to the Redmen team in their next meeting by a score of 10' to 51-;. Randy Soderquist picked up three team points and Jon Garret added 2 to account for all the Redmen scoring against the strong Red Devils. In a close match the Redmen crew scored a slim 8' 2 to 7' 2 victory over Spanish Fork. Jon Garrett, Brad Larson, and Randy Soderquist were those winning match points.
