Show Phi Sigma Alpha National Founders Day Party The Phi Sigma Alpha Sorority held it's 17th National Founders Day Party and Program September Sep-tember 19th at the home of Mrs. Leta Cowley. Twelve members and a guest, Venice Schmidgall were in attendance. The program consisted of a welcome by President Cowley, toasts by Annie Corry, Pearl Gottfredson, Marva Heppler, and Edna Sargeant; a history by Helen Spendlove; and group singing of the Phi Sigma Alpha Song led by Mamie Eck. A dinner was served by Mrs. Cowley and LaRue Schmutz. The following members received recognition for their birthdays: Eula Gardner, Mamie Eck, LaRue Schmutz, and Ora Smith. v i 31 YEARS. Waldo S. Topham was recently awarded a chain saw from Bradshaw Firestone for having been with the company for 31 years The award was presented by Karl Bradshaw at the company's annual stake fry on Sept. 27th. Bradshaw stated that the company would have to Im.k long and hard to find anyone equal to what Mr. Topham has done for the company, these past 31 years. People of the southern I'tah area have come to know Mr Topham for his willingness to help others not only w ith Bradshaw FircMone. hut a'so in his church and civic responsibilities, he said |
