Show Police capture cartheives Two Nebraska youths were formally charged wtih failure to stop at the command com-mand of police officers Monday, following a Sunday morning chase around Cedar City. After checking Utah Highway High-way Patrol troopers said the teenagers were wanted in Nebraska for the theft of the car in which they were apprehended. The morning's chase began when officer Herb Katz stopped the youths for speeding. As he approached the car, then parked a few miles north of Cedar City, the pair sped off. Additional units were called in as the pursuit began. They exited at the Hamilton Fort 1-15 exit, onto a dirt road, and headed north. A footrace ensued when the boys abandoned their car and were eventually even-tually captured about 9:30 a.m. They were unarmed. |
