Show Rev. Stephen Knovveles installed as Pastor of local Presbyterian Church ( f vCv f m Rev. Stephen Knowles was installed as Pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church of Cedar City Wednesday evening. Participating in the service ser-vice of installation were the Rev. Tom Bennanzan, Mission Consultant for Presbytery of Utah, Rev. David Note, moderator of the Utah Presbytery and Pastor in Springville, and Provo; Rev. Jean Steiner, Pastor of churches in Beaver, Milford and Delta; Elder Howard DenHartog of the Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant; Elder Jim Cotts of the Cedar City Presbyterian Church and Elder Alex Mansour of the Cedar City Church. I Rev. Knowles is a I graduate of San Francisco Theological Seminary in San Anselmo, Calif. He served the First Presbyterian 5 Church of Inglewood, Calif. for three years as intern j minister and assistant I minister, before coming to Cedar Cirv I j Mrs. Knowles is a j graduate of Westmont I College in Santa Barbara, j Calif. She is a credentialed I teacher in elementary and I secondary grade levels and 1 interested in the field of art. NEW PASTOR. Rev. Stephen Knowles is the new Pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church of Cedar City. Both Mr. and Mrs. Knowles are native Californians, he being from Long Beach and Mrs. Knowles from Santa Barbara. Bar-bara. Rev. Knowles welcomes anyone interested in the Church to come and join the congregation. Church school is held Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. including an adult Bible study class, and worship is at 11:00 a.m. Various programs of fellowship and education are held as part of the Church program, Rev. Knowles indicated. |
