Show FRESHMAN WELCOMED. Over 600 new SUSC students attended the annual barbecue bar-becue and Dutch Oven cookout during freshman fresh-man orientation. The traditional outing at Wood's Ranch is sponsored by the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce and SUSC as a means of saying "Welcome to SUSC and Cedar City." SUSC Freshmen enjoy Cook-out Some 750 SUSC Freshman students made their way of Cedar Canyon to Woods Ranch on Monday, September Sep-tember 26, for the annual freshman dinner sponsored by the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce. Entries on the menu were barbecued chicken, cole slaw, sourdough biscuits, Ken Benson's famous dutch oven potatoes and chocolate cake and soft drinks. The students also participated in volleyball, softball and a football game. The Chamber of Commerce Com-merce wishes to thank local merchants so generously donated food for the dinner. The freshman dinner was just one of the events of the week held to w elcome SUSC students to Cedar City. |
