Show Suah Kahne Club Active High School Organization By Colleen Cox I One of the largest and most active of the organizations at Cedar High School Is the Suah Kahne Club (pep club). Open by tryout to senior, Junior and sophomore soph-omore girls, It has a membership of 61 students. The organization's chief purpose is to promote school spirit and good sportsmanship through loyal team support Serving as president for the current year has been Sheila Gardner, with Joane Lunt, vice president; Judee Wood, secretary; Donna Gail Fife, historian, and Jolene Webster, drill master. Assisting As-sisting these officers have been cheerleaders, Marjorie Crabtree, Harriette Humphfus and Ann Sherratt. Club advisor is Miss Mary Lou Humphrey, girls' php-slcal php-slcal education instructor. The past year has seen many activities carried out by Suah Kahne members. These have included in-cluded the Homecoming, Football, Foot-ball, and Sweetheart assemblies, and the Homecoming and Sweetheart Sweet-heart dances. Club activities got under way last fall on Initiation Day when the seniors introduced the new members to the rigors of club life. "We feel that we have had a successful year thus far, climaxed climax-ed by our Sweetheart's Ball. We hope to continue with our activities acti-vities in the same spirit," states Miss Gardner in summarizing the .past year with the Suah Xahne I Club. |
