Show Cedar City Art Exhibit To Open at High School Sunday As a follow-up of the recent successful Cedar City Spring Art Exhibit, and as a means of encouraging en-couraging local people in the field of art, the Cedar City Art Committee will stage a local exhibit ex-hibit beginning Sunday, May 10. Southern Utah citizens who are interested In any phase of are are invited to exhibit their works. Mrs. Leatha Prestwich, committee commit-tee chairman, states that the exhibit ex-hibit will Include paintings, cera-amlcs, cera-amlcs, Jewelry, wood carvings lcathercraft, and anyone from the entire southern Utah area, or from communities In Arizona and Nevada, are Invited to participate. partici-pate. "Any original work with woods, metals, leather, as well as paintings will be accepted," Mrs. Prestwich states. Each Individual may exhibit two Items in each division of the exhibit if they desire, but will be restricted to two Items In any one field. The exhibit will be In the high school gymnasium and will be open from 1 to 9 p. rn. each day from Sunday, May 10 through Saturday, May 16. Everyone Is invited in-vited to visit the exhibit at any time during the open hours. If sufficient Interest Is apparent the exhibit may run for a longer long-er period. Exhibitors are asked to contact con-tact Max Weaver, Glen Anderson or L C Miles, and list the Items to be exhibited. All Items should be taken to the high school Friday Fri-day afternoon, and not later than Saturday morning, so that the exhibit may be properly arranged arrang-ed before the opening hour. Any Item may be offered for sale, and such Items should be so marked with the price listed. |
