Show Broncos Finish Fifth In Weber Invitational Meet Weber College, with depth in every department, took top honors hon-ors in the Weber College Invitational Invita-tional Track and Field meet held Saturday at Ogden. College of Southern Utah with a 12-man team placed fifth in a field of seven. Six of the teams entered in the meet were from the Interrro'T-taln Collegiate Athletic Conference. Highlight of the meet for the Broncos was the high Jump won by Theron Archibald. Archiband captured the high jump with a leap of six feet four and three-fourths three-fourths inches. The Jump was I well over the conference record, I which is held by Dan Lindsay of Cedar City, a former track 1 star. It was the only first place captured cap-tured by Coach Bruce Osbome's crew. Other Broncos who placed in the meet were as follows: Mile run, Fred Kitchen, third. Pole vault, Duane Klamm, tied for third. Two mile, EIRoy Colledge, third. Brosd Jump, Kent Stahell, third; Buchanan, fifth. Siiui pui, L!ar Suakcspvcuc, third. Discus, Spencer Bryant, fifth. 440 yard run, Bryant, fourth. Javelin, Ken McKnlght, fourth. 880 yard relay, CSU second. Team was composed of Bryant, Kitchen, Ed Lister and Boyd Ward. |
