Show Elks to Present JUl-Star Circus on Fri;::y Circus talent from throughout the world will perform in Cedar City Friday, May 8 as the Cedar City Elks Lodge presents its first annual Circus under the direction direc-tion of Ken Jensen and his troupe. Two performances will be given giv-en during the one-day stand. A matinee will be held at 4 p. m. and the evening show will begin at 8. All will be staged In the College Col-lege of Southern Utah fieldhouse, according to Douglas Murphy, chairman of the event for the Elks Lodge. Doors for both shows will open one hour prior to the performances perform-ances and seats will be strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. bas-is. Only one admission price will be charged, according to Murphy. Adult admission has been sot at $1.60 and children's admission admis-sion will be 60 cents. No reserve seats will be sold. The Ken Jensen production features fea-tures all types of circus entertainment enter-tainment all to be staged in the fieldhouse. There will be trained dog acts, acrobatics, high wire performances perform-ances by Marjorie Cordell, the "American Ballerina of the Air," Sonita, a three-ton elephant, Chimpanzee acts and clowns, clowns, clowns. All of the thrill of the big top will be there without the side shows and special admission prices tagged on, Murphy said. The show is a complete two-hour two-hour performance. |
