Show Conservation Awards To Be Presented At School Assembly The Parowan High School announces an-nounces that the Conservation Awards assembly will be held on Wednesday, May 13. at 11 a. m. and extend an invitation to the public to Join the school In this program. At this assembly several sev-eral awards will be made to students stu-dents of the school In the Conservation Con-servation contest which has been under way for the past several weeks This contest has been sponsored sponsor-ed by the U. S. Forest Service, the Utah State Fish and Game Department and the Parowan Gun and Rod Club. Don Cox, Forest For-est Ranger from Pangultch, Kay Boulter, game conservationist of Parowan and officers of the Gun and Rod Club, headed by Bern an Stubbs and Warren Pendleton, have represented the sponsoring agencies in the contest Essays were written and art posters were drawn by local students stu-dents and entered in the contest which encourages the conservation conserva-tion of our natural resources. We understand that first, second and third places will be awarded in each division and the awards will be made accordingly. Entrees will be Judged by the sponsoring agencies at a meeting to be held this, Thursday, evening, eve-ning, in the Gun and Rod club house, and the winners will receive re-ceive their awards next Wednesday. Wednes-day. The awards will consist of camping trips in local areas with transportation, food, and lodging to be furnished by the sponsoring organization. |
