Show Howard Wood Named Lions Club President, New Officers Assume Duties Early in July Howard Wood, Cedar City businessman bus-inessman and long-time member of the Cedar City Lions Club, was elected as president of that organization at a recent election. He will succeed Leo Cahoon as president, taking office in July following the Utah State Lions convention to be held in Cedar City. Named to serve with Wood during dur-ing the fiscal year were Foyer Olsen as first vice president; Al Jensen, second vice president, and Reed Bradshaw, third vice president Otto Fife was named tail twister twis-ter and Antone Hunter as lion tamer. Named to vacancies on the board of directors were Thomas Abplanalp and Dr. A. F. Rich. The newly elected president operates op-erates Woods Toggery, a men's ready-to-wear shop in Cedar City. He is also active in other organizations organ-izations as a member of the Master Mas-ter Singers and is a member of the Lions quartet, which has won International fame at Lions International In-ternational activities in New York City and Mexic City. Installation ceremonies for the new officers will be held early In June, according to Cahoon. |
