Show Curtis Atkins Places Third in "A' Contest Recently a national youth conference con-ference on the atom was held in Atlantic City, N. J., and two rep- sentatlves from the area served by the California-Pacific Utilities Company were sent to the conference con-ference by the company. Curtis Atkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Atkins of Cedar City, won third place honors In the essay contest to determine delegates dele-gates from the area to the conference. con-ference. Candidates vying for the right to represent the company at the national gathering were from throughout California, Nevada, Oregon and southern Utah. First place winner was Paula Neighbors Neigh-bors of Basic High School, Henderson, Hen-derson, Nev., and second place winner was Jesse Bauchamp of Needles Union High School, Needle, Nee-dle, Calif. Fourth place was won by Robert Rob-ert Howard of LeGrand Senior High School, LeGrand, Ore. |
