Show International Vice Prexy to Attend Lions District Conclave in Cedar City ' Gustav Stahl Eskilstuna of Sweden, third vice president presi-dent of Lions International, will represent the international internation-al organization at the Utah Lions District Convention to be staged in Cedar City June 11, 12 and 13, it was announc- , ed by Whitney Jensen convention chairman. I Vice President Eskilstuna will speak at one of the general sessions of the convention and will also address the some 700 Lions and their wives at the Governor's, Banquet to be staged as the final fin-al event of the convention Saturday Sat-urday evening, June 13. Minstrel Show As a highlight to the convention conven-tion the Cedar City Lions Club vi!l reproduce Its famous min-suel min-suel show on the opening evening eve-ning of the convention to kick off the program, Jensen stated. Registration for the convention conven-tion will begin at noon Thursday, June 11 and the first general gathering of the conventioneers i will be the minstrel show that evening at the College of South ern Utah auditorium. Presiding over the sessions will be M. D. Hammond, chairman of the council of governors for the Utah State Lions organization. Utah Monism includes four districts, dis-tricts, 23 tJ-T-A-H, and governors govern-ors of each district will take charge of sessions of the convention. conven-tion. Barbscu Another highlight of the convention con-vention social activities will be a barbecue to be staged at the CSU campus on the second evening eve-ning of the convention. Olsen, director of State Park and Recreation Commission for the State of Utah. In addition to the regular session ses-sion several features have been planned for the Lady Lions, who will be in attendance, under the direction of the Cedar City Lady Lions, with Winona Cowan as chairman. District Elections Elections for district officers will be conducted Saturday and announced at the Governor's Banquet Ban-quet Saturday evening of the convention. Cedar City Lions Club will run Wallace Osborne, Immediate past president of the Cedar City club for Governor of District 28-II. Don Applegate, president of the Escalante Es-calante Valley Lions Club will also vie for the position making an interesting race In the southern south-ern Utah district of the organization.
