Show READING CLUB President of the Reading Club Mildred Sargent greeted 11 members mem-bers of the organization and one guest, Mrs. Ray Lunt, at her home March 27th for a regular meeting. The afternoon was spent listening to reports from five different club members n the "Great Decisions of 1964." Bertha Petty presented "Strong Man of the Nile," Jessie Lou Al-bertson Al-bertson gave "The Country and the Country He Rules," Mildred Sargent presented 'The Quest for Arab Unity," Ruth Seegmiller reviewed re-viewed "Where Crisis Diplomacy Reigns" and Ellen Hopkins gave "For the U. S. Fateful Decisions." Deci-sions." As a special treat the ladies enjoyed a delicious luncheon lunch-eon served by the hostess. Here for the Easter holiday with members of her family was Cleone Barnett of Tucson, Ariz. She was a guest of her father, Moroni Perry. While she was here she also visited with Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Perry, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lamoreaux, Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Stapley and with her son, Richard, who is a student at the College of Southern Utah. Mr. and Mrs. George Haslam of Cedar City traveled to northern Utah to spend the special week end with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jim R. Wood. While they were on their brief vacation they also visited Jim's folks, Mr. and Mrs. James M. Wood. Vacationing In Cedar City during dur-ing the Easter holiday was Mr. Bernett Baldwin, son of Mr. and Mrs Bernard Baldwin. Enjoying Easter with their son-In-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Snow, were Cedar City people, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Palmer and family. They spent three days visiting in Huntsvllle, Utah, with the Snows. Douglas Bonzo and Mrs. Tat Close along with Pat's two sons, have recently been in Cedar City visiting with the Bonzo family. fa-mily. While they were In town all of the Bonzo family members met for a special event to honor Pat Close and Ken Bonzo on their birthday anniversaries. |
