DENNIS LOWDER Saturday Double -ring Ceremony Unites Beverly Boardman and Dennis Art Lowder In a quiet wedding ceremony which tool; plae last Saturday evening in the Relief Society room of the Third Ward chapel, Miss Beverly Boardman becanrv. the wife of Dennis Art Lowder. Bishop Verl E. Taylor officiated in the double-ring nuptial rites in tr.e presence of the immediate immedi-ate members of both families. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Boardman of Parowan and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Art W. Lowder of San Jose, California, but has resided in Parowan for several years. The newlyweds were honored following the wedding at a reception re-ception held in the Third Ward recreation hall, hosted by the bride's parents.. For the event, the bride was attired in a gown of original design, silk organza organ-za over satin, featuring lace appliques ap-pliques on a floor length skirt with chapel train. It had matching match-ing lace edged neckline and long pointed sleeves. Her veil of si Ik illusion was caught to a crown of sequins and pearls. She carried car-ried a crescent shape bridal bouquet bou-quet of yellow glamcllas. Attending the bride were two of her sisters, Mrs. John Bentley and ivirs. Giaiien iviii ktrlavii, a sister of the bridegroom, Mrs. Patty Johnson, and the Misses Pamela Carter, Kathrine Orton and Evelyn Klrkpatrlck. They wore matching dresses of yellow taffeta and lace with yellow shoulder length veils, and carried car-ried crescent shaped bouquets of yellow camelias. Standing as best man for the bridegroom was Larry Stubbs and usheis were John Bentley, Gladen Mickelson and Gordon Adams. For the event the mother of the bride wore a pink embroidered sheath dress and the mother of the bridegroom wore a pink crepe sheath and both wore corsages of white glamelias. Miss Brenda Chamberlain was at the guest book. Presiding at the gift table were Mrs. Hal Orton, Mrs. Boyd Mitchell and Miss Penny Matheson. In the kitchen were Mrs. Duard Schopp-man, Schopp-man, Mrs. Bud Green, Mrs. Sher-wln Sher-wln Benson, Mrs. Kathleen Mitchell, Mrs. Nelson Taylor, and serving were the Misses Jerri Benson, Susan Mitchell, Dawna Lou Schoppman, Cheryl Lynn Stubbs and Ruth Ann Knight. Following the reception the newly married couple traveled to Las Vegas, Nev. for a short honeymoon, hon-eymoon, and are now making a home in Parowan. The bride is attending Parowan High School and will graduate this spring. The bridegroom is a graduate of Parowan High School, has attended at-tended College of Southern Utah and is now employed at the State Engineer's office in Cedar City. During reception background music was furnished by Mrs. Joe Stubbs and Mrs. D Robinson, and musical numbers wre rendered by CherylLynn Stubos, Ruth Ann Knight, Sharon Rovley, Kathy Rowley, Dewey Topham, Gary Jensen, Mrs. Joe Stubbs and Mrs. Howard Stub. One evening prior to her marriage mar-riage the bride was entertained at a personal shower by the Misses Pamela Carter, Kathrine Orton, Evelyn Klrkpatrlck and Penny Matheson. The evening preceding the wedding the couple cou-ple was honored at a wedding dinner given by the parents of the bridegroom With members of both families present. |
