Show IvanlYLMatheson Files for 4-year Co. Commissioner IVAN MATHESON Ivan Matheson, who is the in-cumbert in-cumbert two-year Iron County Commissioners, filed this past week for the four-year county commissioner post on the Republican Re-publican ticket. He will seek the nomination on the ticket for the position that is currently held by Democrat Frank Milne of Cedar City. Matheson Math-eson is also the second to file on the Republican ticket for the position. Also filing has been Arnold Anderson of Cedar City. Matheson is a native of Iron County. He was born in Cedar City Ci-ty and attended Cedar City schools. He also attended Oregon Ore-gon State University at Corvallls. A veteran of World Ward II, he served with the U. S. Army, Including duty in the Philippines and In JaDan. Active In the LDS Church he Is currently serving as a member mem-ber of the presidency of the 69th Quorum of Seventy, and has held numerous other iosition In the Church. While serving as commissioner commission-er for the past two years he has directed the activities of the County Agricultural Committee, Valley View Medical Center and the Planning and Zoning Com. mlttee. He is also serving on the Wa-ter Wa-ter and Power Committee of the Five County Organization and is a member of the State Weed Eradication Era-dication Committee of the Utah County Officials Association. Matheson is married to the former Etta Louise Warren of Parowan and they are the parents par-ents of four daughters and a son. |
