Show Smith Enters Race For Four-year Commission Post A full slate of candidates for the two county commission posts up for selection In the November elections was assured Tuesday when Leonard Smith filed for the position of four-year commissioners commission-ers on the Democratic ticket. Smith, a native of Iron County, will be seeking the position currently cur-rently held by Frank Milne, de-nvx-'at, who has announced that he will not seek re-election. He has also served three years as a field representative for U. S. Senator Frank E. Moss (D-Utahl. Smith was educated in Cedar City schools and attended the Branch Agricultural College, now College of Southern Utah. He is a sales representative for Bradshaw Chevrolet Co. He Indicated Indi-cated that he hag spent seven years in the construction field, training that he believes would be valuable to him should he be elected to the post. He Is also familiar with the taxation system, sys-tem, he said. Active In community affairs, he is a past Exalted Ruler of the BPOE Lodge No. 1556 of Cedar Ce-dar City. He is currently chairman chair-man of the Elks Trustees and chairman of the student award committee for the Elks Lodge. He served the Lodge for 11 years as chairman of the Youth committee, as well.
