Show 1 n.. n :ivl I Charlie Bamet Eniraged for Prom The first name band to play in southern Utah has been contracted con-tracted for the College Prom at College of Southern Utah. Set for April 19. the prom Is being planned plan-ned by Betsy Fillmore, chairman, Elaine Foremaster, Doug Knell, Gary Smith. Pat Hatton and Miss Jayne Winters, faculty advisor. A special invitation to high schools throughout this area has been extended to allow the students stu-dents a rare opportunity to hear Charlie Barnet, famous recording record-ing star and orchestra leader. Miss Winters said, "This is our major social event of the year, and we wish to satisfy the long- time hopes of this area's young people by presenting Charlie Bar-net. Bar-net. Our committee extends a cordial invitation to the high school students to come and en-Joy en-Joy the evening with other students stu-dents from throughout southern Utah." Both the upper and lower parts of the ballroom are being decorated decor-ated to accommodate the expected expect-ed crowd. All organizations on the campus cam-pus are Joining In preparation. Refreshments wUl be prepared under the supervision of the In-tersorority In-tersorority council, and the Intercollegiate In-tercollegiate Knights are building build-ing decoration frames to help the I committee. |
