Show Nursing Scholarship Won by New Harmony Student 'j KAT DAWN PACE For the frist time in a number num-ber of years a southern Utah student stu-dent has won the Utah State Ladles of Elks Nursing Scholarship. Scholar-ship. It was reported this week by Mrs. Antone Cox, chairman of the Cedar City Ladies of Elks scholarship committee. Kay Dawn Pace, a senior student stu-dent at Cedar City High School and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthon Pace of New Harmony, after winning a $50 scholarship from the Cedar City auxiliary organization, or-ganization, continued on to capture cap-ture first place In the state contest con-test She wlU receive a $100.00 scholarship for the state prize. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of scholastic ahclevement, extra curricular activities ac-tivities and student leadership. Miss Pace, it is understood, will use the scholarship at the University Uni-versity of Utah In the school of nursing. |
