Show New Law Calls for Farm Poison Dosage Care I A new law makes it more Important Im-portant than ever for farmers and ranchers to follow officially recommended rec-ommended dosages of Insecticides Insecti-cides and similar poisons. This is emphasized by Dr. George Knowlton, Utah State Agricultural Ag-ricultural College extension entomologist. en-tomologist. He says that the new Miller Bill limits the amount of insecticides and other poisonous residues which can be present on crop and livestock products moving to market. This limit is a safe amount from the standpoint of the people peo-ple or livestock consuming the products. It Is the least amount which can be counted on to give consistently good Insect control when It is properjy applied. Growers who violate government established tolerances may be headed for trouble, Dr. Knowlton says. |
