Show Central P-T A Council Meets to Elect New Officers Central Council of the Parent-Teachers Parent-Teachers Association of Cedar City met recently for the purpose of electing officers for the 1956-57 1956-57 school year. In attedance at the meeting, held Mar. 22, were council members, unit P TA presidents, pres-idents, principals and superintendent superin-tendent Ianthus Wright Mrs. Richard Gillies was elected elect-ed as president of the central unit to succeed Mrs. Reed W. Farnsworth, Incumbent. Other elective officers included Mrs. H. P. Dotson as vice president and Mrs. Lex Wilkinson, secretary. Date for the installation of new officers was also set at the meeting. meet-ing. The Installation will be held on Saturday, April 14. However, the newiy elected officers wiii not i assume their dejegated responsibilities responsi-bilities until after the close of the current school year. Outgoing officers In addition to Mrs. Farnsworth include Mrs. Henry Bulloch, vice president, and Mrs. Reed Bradshaw, secretary. secre-tary. Appointive officers who will end duties this year include Mrs. R. C. Morris, publicity and membership; Mrs. C. J. Parry, historian; Mrs. Lewis M. Webster, magazine Mrs. Corry Olson, hospitality; hos-pitality; Mrs. D. G. Cowan, adult education; Miss Barbara Caddie, program; Mrs. Gillies', civil defense de-fense and safety; Mrs. Dotson, Juvenile protection, and Miss La-Rue La-Rue Ford, health. The newly elected officers will flU the appointive positions on the council prior to the opening of school next fall. |
