Show Reminiscence Brings Up Parallels in State Class B Tourney In an account of the Parowan High School basketball team's I showing In this year's State Clas B Tournament two weeks' ago, we mentioned the fact that this year's team finished higher than any team since the team of 1923. Murray entered the tournament as second place to Bingham from that division, and Parowan met the Murray team the second night, score, Murray 34, Parowan Paro-wan 21. Parowan then went on to beat two other schools, Uintah and Pleasant Grove, we believe, to win fourth place. Members of the team, as we recall them, were Orland Ward, center; Byron Thornton, Carmen Rollins and Elmer Evans, guards; Mllo Marsden, Harold Rowley and Howard Burt, forwards. Ivan Decker was coach that year. Oth-er Oth-er teams in the division that year were Beaver, Milford and Min-ersviUe. Min-ersviUe. Remember? |
