Show Returned Missionaries Receive Military Call Two Iron County men, both recently returned missionaries for the L D S Church, have been ordered by the Iron County Selective Se-lective Service board to report for induction into miliary service. They will fill the quota of men from the county called for induction induc-tion during April. The two men are Howard James Jackson, Cedar City, and John Franklin Jones, fqrmerjy of Enoch, but now making his home in Bountiful. They have been ordered or-dered to report for Induction on Tuesday, April 10. No call was received for men to report for pre-inductlon physical phy-sical examinations during April. Mrs. Margaret Carpenter, clerk of the local Selective Service Board, attended a special instruction instruc-tion session last week for clerks of boards from throughout Utah, and is now engaged In segregation segrega-tion of registrants for induction under current policies of Selective Service. Her first task will be to segregate registrants who are classified 1A and have been examined ex-amined and found acceptable frr service. These changes may have some bearing on future induction calls, but will not result In deferment de-ferment or elimination of military mili-tary responsibility for any group, it is understood. |
