Show Snow Survey Shows Comparative Water Level Content The snow survey, taken under the cooperative efforts of the Soil Conservation Service and the Forest For-est Service, made April 26 by C. A. Huff and Foyer Olson. The snow courses checked were Cedar Breaks, Midway, Webster Flat and Yankee Reservoir. At Cedar Breaks the snow depth was 40.5 Inches, with 12.2 inches of water. In 1954 the water content was 18.5 Inches; In 1953 It was 9.4 Inches. At Midway the snow depth measured 42.6, with 15.2 Inches of water. In 1954 the water measurement meas-urement was 20.6 Inches. (No readings were made prior to 1954 at this time of year.) At Webster Flat the snow measured 17.5 inches, with 7 Inches In-ches of water. In 1954 there was also 7 Inches of water; In 1953 there was not enough to measure. The snow depth at Yankee Reservoir Res-ervoir measured 10.8 Inches with 3.7 Inches of water. No previous previ-ous measurements have been made at this time of year at the Yankee. |
