Show State 0ES Officers Honored fit Banquet Meeting Cedar Chapter No. 20, Order of Eastern Star, honored visiting grand officers of the grand chapter chap-ter of Utah, at a banquet on Monday Mon-day evening, April 25 at Hotel El Escalante, according to Mrs. Ernest Boyns, worthy matron. Tables at the banquet were decorated In keeping with the 50th anniversary of the order in Utah. Arrangements and decorations decora-tions were carried out by Mrs. Les Wahl and Mrs. Harold Wy-coff. Wy-coff. ' Follow the banquet the grand officers were received at the regular reg-ular meeting, conducted by Mrs. Boyns. The meeting was held at the Masonic Temple. Distinguished guests there honored were: Mrs. Avis I. Malm-sten Malm-sten worthy grand matron; Clarence Clar-ence K. Paxton, worthy grand patron pa-tron and associate grand officer of the Grand Chapter of Utah. Also honored were Mrs. Maye E. Yates, Mrs. Margaret C. Rhon, Mrs. Alice Schaerer, all past grand matrons; Harry Randle, past grand patron; Mrs. Eva Gibson, Gib-son, past grand matron, and Mrs Mabel Cooper. Grand Ruth of the Nevada Chapter from Las Vegas. Visitors were present from Og-den Og-den Salt Lake City, Provo, Richfield, Rich-field, Mllford, Hurricane, Las vegan and Reno, Nev., Mrs. Boyns said. Mrs. Harland Durand sang two I mi ' solos accompanied by Mrs. Boyns at the piano. ' After the meeting delicious refreshments re-freshments were served by Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Smith, assist-ed assist-ed by Mrs. Carl Wasmuth and Mrs. Fred LaFrentz. |
