Show Auxiliary Names Girls State Representatives Mrs. Mary B. Orton, president of the Parowan unit of the American Amer-ican Legion Auxiliary, announces that two girls, members of the junior class of the Parowan High School, will attend the annual Girls State this summer as representatives repre-sentatives of the Parowan unit. These girls were selected from a list of junior girls submitted by Principal Max Dalley of the high school. The girls chosen are as follows: Mary Susan Benson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Benson, Parowan Paro-wan and Delores Thornton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thornton, Taragonah. Miss Benson Ben-son is being sponsored by the Parowan Lions Club and Miss Thornton by the Parowan Cham-! her of Commerce. They were selected se-lected at a meeting of the aux-, aux-, illary last Thursday night. They were chosen because of their jhlgh scholastic rating and extracurricular extra-curricular activities at school. They will join 250 other Utah girls at Girls State during the 1 week of June 12 to 19 at the Utah State Agricultural College at Logan. I |
