Show Ronald Morgan To Direct Jaycee Calendar 4 ... . i i : i i . 7 : : ' ' ' " i . iv 1 1 RONALD MORGAN Ronald Morgan, industrial en- ( glneer with Columbia Iron Mines ( and an Immediate past secretary of the Cedar City Junior Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce, was elected to the helm of the young civic group at a membership meeting held at Milt's Stage Stop last Thursday Thurs-day evening. The election meeting, conducted conduct-ed by incumbent A. L. Thompson, was the first of its kind ever staged by the local Jaycees. Other Officers Others elected to offices at the meeting included Gary Macfar-lane, Macfar-lane, first vice president; Garth Webster, second vice president, and Bud Bowman, treasurer. Tom Brown was notified that he and his wife will be registered at the Jaycee convention by the club for his efforts In membership signup. He. registered more members than anyone In the club during the year. A dual Jaycee of the Month award was duly presented to Keith Cripps and Carl Hardy for the month of April. Cripps chair-maned chair-maned the two outstanding events during the month the state travel trophy meeting and the Easter Euz hunt. Hardv re ceived the recognition on the basis ba-sis of outstanding work in a recent membership drive and in j connection with the Miss Cedar Citv contest. Wilford Day, who was chairman chair-man of the first annual Teen Ar:e Road-e-o was given the March Javcee of the Month award. Thompson was elected to the position of state director for the ensuing year. Installation ceremonies for the change over to the new officers will take place sometime In May, Thompson stated. June 1 is the first day of the Jaycee year. |
