Show Social Security Law Benefits Told For Workers Over 72 "Those persons over 72 years old who have at least a year and a half of work covered by social security to their credit should contact a representative of the Social Security Administration now even though they are still working," Charles W. Fledhau-ser, Fledhau-ser, a representative of the Provo social security office said today. "Under the new social security law," Mr. Fledhauser said, "a worker who has enough social security credit can receive retirement retire-ment benefits when he is 72 even though he is not retired." j To be eligible for full retirement retire-ment benefits, a worker between 65 and 72 years old must be re-1 tired to the extent that he is not earning over $1200 a year.) Benefits may be payable fori some months in a taxable year! in which a worker between 65 1 and 72 years old earns between $1200 and $2080., or for those months in which he does not earn over $80 or does not work a substantial amount in a trade or business of his own. A representative of the social security office will be at the Utah State Employment Service in Cedar Ce-dar City, Utah on Tuesday, May 3, from 10 a. m. to 12 noon and from 1 to 3 p. m. i i |
