Show Alumni Association Head Announces Annual Meeting Plans Lollin D. Orton, president of the Parowan High School alumni alum-ni association, announces that the date has been set and plans are under way for the annual reunion, re-union, barbecue and dance of the association. Date for the big event, which is getting more popular pop-ular each year, will be Saturday, May 28, and those who are working work-ing with Mr. Orton on plans for the affair are as follows: Marilyn Pendleton, vice president; presi-dent; Joan Wheatley, secretary; Aleen Orton, treasurer; Barbara Burt and-Junior Benson, hoard members, with Ramona Stubbs as advisory board member. Invitations will go out within the next 10 days to all graduates gradu-ates of the Parowan High Scfrbol whose addresses are to be found and special Invitations are being be-ing extended by other means to those who might be missed. The Red Hill Wranglers are reported re-ported to be planning a race meet for the same day, May 28 and that organization Is cooperating cooper-ating with the alumni in events for the day. As that is the opening open-ing day of the fishing season also, a prize is being offered for the biggest fish caught during that dav by a graduate of the high school. A schedule of the day's events will be as follows: An assembly program from 11 a. m. to 12 noon; the barbecue at the Five Mile at 5 p. m. with members to gather as early as possible following the race meet, the day will close with the annual an-nual alumni dance at 9 p. m. In the high school gymnasium with music by the Rhythm Makers. |
