Show Gilger to Participate In Army War Games FORT LEWIS, WASH. .. Cpl. Garth J. Gilger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Gilger, Parowan, Utah is slated to participate in Exercise Ex-ercise Apple Jack as a member of the Aggressor Force in May at the Yakima Firing Center, Washington. The Aggressor Force will oppose op-pose the friendly forces to add realism to the exercise. Apple Jack is designed to test the ef- ' ficlency of infantry and support units in mountainous and desert des-ert terrain. Gilger, a graduate of Parowan . High School, is regularly stat-tloned stat-tloned at Fort Lewis, Wash., as an assistant squad leader in Company I of the 71st Infantry Division's 5th Regiment. He entered en-tered the Army in December of 1953. |
