Show Officers, Bylaws Set At Women's Voters League Meet A League of Women's Voters was organized in Cedar City Monday evening, when interested women of the city- met to adopt bylaws and elect officer of the League. Mrs. William Burton, who has acted as temporary chairman while the proposal to organize a league here has been studied, was elected president of the new organization. Mrs. Boyd Smith was elected first vice president, and Mrs. Ed Hearrell as second vice president presi-dent to serve with Mrs. Burton. Directors named include Mrs. Walter K. Granger, Mrs. Glenn White, Mrs. Max Whitney and Mrs. Elwyn Halterman. Mrs. Boyd Paulson was named treasurer and a secretary will be selected by the new officers soon. The new officers met Tuesday and will meet again next week to work out details of the organization organi-zation and formulate plans for future activities. The next open meeting will be held on March 16, Mrs. Burton states, and all women interested in becoming associated with the league are urged to either contact officers of the league or be present at the meeting to be held at El Escal-ante Escal-ante hotel. |
