Show VISION DR. A. F. RICH, member, American Optometric Assn. When you have had your eyes examined and your new glasses sit comfortably on your nose, giving you a new world of clear vision, maybe you say to yourself, "Well, that seems simple. Just a pair of good lenses ..." But it isn't simple at all. The eyesight specialist, if he is skilled and conscientious, has given you a health analysis analy-sis by carefully scanning the retina of your eyes, where some 50 or GO bodily diseases leave their tell-tale marks. He has checked the eyes themselves for ailments like cataract cat-aract and glaucoma, which can cause blindness. Finally, he has worked out a seeing pattern for you alone, designed to enable you to see not only clearly, but easily, effortlessly, comfortably that is, without undue muscular work. Seeing clearly at far and near distances is not necessarily the same thing as seeing well. |
