Show ENOCH AND MIDVALLEY NEWS Mrs. Cora Murie A baby girl was born on July 17 to Mr. and Mrs. George Hal-terman. Hal-terman. It is the second granddaughter grand-daughter for Mr. and Mrs. Millard Mil-lard Halterman in two weeks, the other being a girl born to Mr and Mrs. Tone Fife on July 7. Mr. and Mrs. Ivor Jones and son, Lorin, attended the Chamberlain Cham-berlain family reunion at Order-ville. Order-ville. Mr. and Mrs. Udell Smith of Salt Lake City came down to the reunion at Orderville. They took Grace Marie Smith back with them. Mr. and Mrs. Max Goudge and family of Los Angeles, Calif., are visiting with friends and relatives rela-tives here and in Cedar City. The children of Mr. and Mrs. Millard Halterman surprised them on their 40th wedding anniversary anni-versary by gathering at their farm horn" Saturday evening. Quite a few of the relatives were down from Parowan. The evening was spent in visiting and light refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Modrell of Los Angeles, Calif., are visiting with their mother, Mrs. Maude Jones Weir. They all visited at Enterprise Tuesday with another daughter, Mrs. Elsa Peabody and family. The county is oiling the street down through Enoch and has appropriated ap-propriated $375 for materials with which to lay concrete sidewalks side-walks on the south and west of the church. The Enoch people agreed to do the work and it is hoped that the project will be completed before the church ded ication on Aug. 29. Mrs. Jenny Davis and children of St. George spent Tuesday visiting visit-ing with Jim and Drucella Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Al Taron and son of Orderville spent Saturday and Sunday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Murie. The Mia Maids of the ward and their leaders, Mrs. Norman Grimsljaw and Mrs. Ellen Anderson, An-derson, left Wednesday morning for a trip to the four parks, Zion. Bryce, Cedar Breaks and Grand Canyon. They will return home Friday night. Stanford Jones is home from the hospital but is not able to be around yet. Mrs. Ina Richardson took her her son, Kenneth to have the cast taken off his leg at the St. Marks hospital in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Marine Grimshaw went with them to Kaysville to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Stucki. |
